Jay Morgan Named Executive Director
ATLANTA, Aug. 28, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Transaction Processors Coalition (ATPC) is pleased to announce changes in its leadership team as part of its ongoing commitment to advancing the interests of the transaction processing industry and confirms that Jay Morgan will serve as Executive Director, effective immediately.
"Jay Morgan is a respected leader with deep expertise in state public policy. Jay's background includes steering Fortune 100 companies and industry groups through periods of transformation and growth, and his appointment ensures a seamless transition as ATPC embarks on its next chapter," said Seamus Smith, ATPC Board Chair. "In welcoming Jay as Executive Director, it is only fitting that we call out and recognize the efforts of his predecessor H. West Richards. The ATPC Board, members and I extend our sincere appreciation to West for his creativity, dedication and vision. West was instrumental in founding and developing ATPC over 11 years ago and has made a significant contribution to 'Transaction Alley', a term developed by the ATPC. Richards' tenure included thought leadership for the Georgia Fintech Academy, the Federal Reserve's PeachPay forum, Fintech Atlanta, and the P20, a transatlantic payments industry group. His leadership was instrumental in positioning the ATPC as the leading voice for America's transaction processing professionals."
"I look forward to working closely with our members, board, and partners as we continue to drive thought leadership to policymakers by transaction processors and their leaders," said Jay Morgan, who has served as ATPC's leader of state government relations since 2014. "Our industry plays a vital role in the FinTech ecosystem especially here in 'Transaction Alley' and now across the US. I am humbled to continue to work with ATPC at this pivotal moment to build on the coalition's legacy of advocacy through education for all stakeholders."
