Dr. Maisel is a board-certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician with a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Sports Medicine who specializes in non-operative orthopedic care.

Dr. Maisel focuses on helping patients reduce pain, restore function, and return to the activities they enjoy—often without surgery. His expertise includes the evaluation and treatment of sports injuries, joint pain, tendon disorders, spine-related conditions, fractures, work-related injuries, and concussions. He also has specialized training in orthobiologics, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and ultrasound-guided procedures.

Dr. Maisel utilizes advanced diagnostic and treatment techniques, including platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, viscosupplementation, corticosteroid injections, and minimally invasive treatments for tendon and joint conditions. His patient-centered approach emphasizes movement, education, rehabilitation, and long-term recovery.

Dr. Maisel completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham, Alabama, where he gained extensive experience caring for athletes at all levels. During his fellowship, he served as team physician for the University of West Alabama and Briarwood High School, while also providing medical coverage for the University of Alabama, the SEC Baseball Tournament, the Birmingham Barons, Samford University Basketball, the Mercedes-Benz Marathon, and The World Games.

A native of Boca Raton, Florida, Dr. Maisel earned his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Central Florida and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident.
